About WorthCheck

WorthCheck helps shoppers answer one question before they spend money: is this actually worth buying? You paste a product link or describe the product, and we return a clear buy, wait or skip verdict backed by pricing context, recurring themes in owner reviews, honest weaknesses, and better alternatives when they exist.

Who operates WorthCheck

WorthCheck is operated independently under the name WorthCheck. It is a small, self-funded project, not a retailer, marketplace or manufacturer. You can reach us any time at hello@worthcheck.net.

What WorthCheck does

Most product research is fragmented: the retailer page sells you, review sites rank by commission, and forum threads are hard to summarise. WorthCheck pulls together the product page, published reviews and owner feedback from across the web, weighs the price against what the product actually delivers, and returns a single decision with the reasoning attached.

Every verdict includes what buyers consistently like, what they consistently complain about, a price-to-value assessment, where the product can be bought in your country, and alternatives worth considering instead.

Is the verdict generated by AI?

Yes — partly. AI is the engine that reads and summarises source material. It is not left to invent facts: the model works from material we retrieve for the specific product being checked, and the verdict structure forces it to state price context, weaknesses and alternatives rather than produce marketing copy. AI can still make mistakes, so every verdict should be treated as research input, not as professional advice. If you spot something wrong, email us and we will look at it.

How we make money

We do not use affiliate links. WorthCheck earns no commission when you buy a product through a link on this site, and no retailer, brand or manufacturer can pay to appear in a verdict, to rank higher in the buying options, or to change a buy, wait or skip result.

WorthCheck is funded by an optional Premium subscription for people who want unlimited checks, and by advertising displayed on the free tier. Advertising is served separately from the editorial content and has no influence on any verdict.

If this ever changes — for example if we introduce affiliate relationships — we will say so prominently on this page and on the pages affected, before it happens.

Can companies influence a verdict?

No. We accept no sponsored placements, no paid reviews and no pre-release deals in exchange for coverage. If a brand contacts us about a verdict, we will consider factual corrections only.
